Children's Ministries
Welcome!
At Mt. Hebron, we believe that all children are special and that developing a relationship with Jesus is one of the most important aspects of growth. In Children’s Ministries, age-appropriate programming guides infants through 5th graders in discovering how to apply God’s Word to their lives. Small groups allow a more in depth look into the Word. Large groups fosters Christian fellowship among age groups.
Check-In and Registration
At the top of the Children’s Wing behind the Sanctuary, you will find our check-in system with staff and volunteers ready to orient you to our department and get your children to the right place.
At registration, you will receive a unique set of tags:
1. Your child’s name tag
2. A parent security tag that you will need to present to the teacher of the class at the end of Sunday School / Worship.
If for some reason your child needs you during one of the services, we will find you.
In addition, visitors will be asked to complete registration information. This information will include your location while you are at church.
Programming
A nursery with loving and trained staff is available for all services and Bible study opportunities.
​Sundays
Wee Worship (8:45 / 11:15am) is designed to give children, ages 2-5, a worship experience with other kids their age. Children are encouraged to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus through music, Bible lessons, games and discussions. These children experience worship during this hour.
Sunday School (10:00am)
Classes from infants through 5th grade gather around God’s Word to begin developing the foundations for Christian living and relationships. Children discover how to apply God’s Word to their own lives.
Wednesday Evening
Age-level choirs being at 6:00pm. Children will learn how to play handbells and other instruments, sing praise songs and learn to read music. They will prepare music to lead in worship.
Programming continues with Bible activities at 6:35pm. During this time, children are divided into age-appropriate classes allowing them to discover how God’s Word is laid out; how to use our Bibles.
Other Opportunities
Our Children’s Ministries provides many special events throughout the year including Easter Egg-stravaganza, Vacation Bible School, Music Camp, and the Country Fair.
