Children

Children are important to Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church and to God. We partner with families to provide nurturing, meaningful, and enjoyable experiences through which our children can learn of God’s love and His plan for their individual lives, leading to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Whether you're thinking about stopping by for just one time or you're interested in sticking with us for a while, we're glad you're checking out the Mt. Hebron Children’s Ministries.

Nursery
Mt. Hebron has many opportunities for children of all ages.  Each Sunday morning during all three worship services, we offer a nursery for infants and children through age three.  The nursery is located in rooms 300 and 302 of the Children's Wing.

Wee Worship
During the New Life! Contemporary Service and 9:00 Traditional Service, we offer Wee Worship for young children.  After the Children's Message during the worship service, children are dismissed to go to the Children's Wing for continued learning and fun with their peers.
*For children attending Wee Worship, parents should complete a green card (ask an usher or greeter) and clip it on your child’s back.  Keep the green card and give it to the teacher when you go to retrieve your child.  Please completely fill it out to help the teachers.  If your child is attending Sunday School, he/she will be taken to the appropriate class.  Parents may pick up after Sunday School.

Sunday School
Mt. Hebron offers exciting Sunday school classes for children of all ages.  For sign in/sign out, Preschoolers through Kindergarten should follow the Wee Worship procedure (see above).  For children in grades 1 through 3, parents should accompany children to the Children’s Wing and sign in your child.  While in Sunday school, children should wear a lanyard with a number on it - and parents should take the corresponding card to be returned when you retrieve your child.  Each child will have the same number each week.  For Grades 4-6, children have a blue bookmark that they should have signed and keep with them to sign in and to be dismissed without parents.  They are asked to sign in and get their lanyard on their own.  Otherwise, parents are asked to follow the procedure above.  To help maintain good order and organization, only the doors at the TOP of the Children’s Wing will be utilized on Sunday mornings.
