Zambia Mission

In August, a group of folks from West Columbia will be traveling to Zambia, Africa to work alongside missionary, Paul Hamelryck, for two weeks.  Church members from Cayce UMC and Mt. Hebron are planning to take part in this global mission trip.   Paul Hamelryck grew up in Cayce and attended Cayce UMC graduating from BC High School.   We are fortunate to have his sister, Jackie Wilson, and her family as very active members of Mt. Hebron.  In 2008, Paul answered the call to move his family of 12 to Zambia, Africa to work with orphans and share Christ's love.

We are excited that members of the Mt. Hebron family, in addition to a few folks from Cayce UMC, will be joining Paul in August to help in his ministry.  Please be in prayer that this mission effort will play some small part of God's greater work to the people of Zambia.  Not everyone is called to go to a foreign land to serve.  Some are to be earnest prayer partners.  Others are called to be financial supporters as God has blessed them with resources.  Still, others are called to help prepare items that can be sent with the mission team.  Whatever you do, it takes all of us working together in mission to accomplish God's plan.  It will cost approximately $3,000 for each person going.  If you, your Sunday School Class, or other organizations, would be interested in helping with the expense of this mission trip, you can give a contribution to Mt. Hebron and make a note in the memo line, "for African Mission Trip."

Thank you for being a partner with us in this mission effort for God's work in Zambia!
