Small Groups

We offer a variety of Small Groups throughout the year.  Please check back in August 2011 to see the newest offerings.

Annual Small Group opportunities include:

Disciple Bible Study
Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is the foundation of the DISCIPLE Bible Study program.  DISCIPLE assumes that the Bible is the key to renewal in the church.  It gives equal time to both the Old and NewTestament, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as the revelation of God.  DISCIPLE aims at transformation, not just information, and calls on persons to submit themselves to examination by Scripture, to put themselves under the power of God’s Word, and to be changed by God’s Word.  This 34-week class will be offered again in the fall of 2011.

Prayer 101
This small group is led by Rev. Larry Hays on an intermittent basis and lasts for three weeks.  The study and discussion focuses on the basics of prayer and how to communicate with God. Look for upcoming opportunities in The Herald and the church bulletin.

Mission: Possible
This mission group participates in various mission projects on Wednesday evenings throughout the year.  Missions range from organizing Mt. Hebron's food pantry to planting a community garden in a nearby neighborhood.  Mission: Possible offers participants a chance to reach out into the community and share God's love with others.  This group is led by ID and Mary Hook.
