Passionate Worship

Passionate Worship

“Worship describes those times we gather deliberately seeking to encounter God in Christ.  God uses worship to transform lives, heal wounded souls, renew hope, shape decisions, provoke change, inspire compassion, and bind people to one another.  The word passionate expresses an intense desire, an ardent spirit, strong feelings, and the sense of heightened importance.  Putting the words together, Passionate Worship, whether traditional or contemporary, means an extraordinary eagerness to offer the best in worship, honoring God with excellence and with an unusual clarity about the purpose of connecting people to God.  It is worship that is not dry, routine or boring, keeping the form while lacking the spirit.  It is not performance; it is devotion and celebration expressing our love of God.”

Mt. Hebron offers three different worship services each week.

Traditional - 9:00 am & 11:15 am
Our Traditional worship services meet in the Sanctuary, located in the center of our church campus with entrances facing Leaphart Road.  Both services feature traditional worship styles, including hymns and Christian rituals along with music from a range of choirs and ensembles.

New Life! - 8:45 am
Our New Life! worship service is held in the Fellowship Hall, located to the right of the Sanctuary on the ground floor, with an additional entrance along Hebron Drive at the covered entryway. This service offers contemporary music from one of our praise bands and a more experiential worship style.

We gather in worship celebration as a way of loving God back.  We bring eagerness, expectancy and commitment to meet  God and each other. We would love to have you join us for "passionate worship" on Sunday mornings as we seek to encounter the living God.
