Staff

 

JJ, a native of West Columbia, attended the College of Charleston where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She is a SC certified teacher in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  She has 16 years of Early Childhood classroom teaching experience.

 

JJ joined the staff at Hebron Day School in August of 2005 after the birth of her second child, as the 5 year old Kindergarten teacher.  She accepted the position of Day School Director in May of 2012 and is excited to see how God will use her in this capacity.  

 

JJ and her husband Brian were married in 1995 and have 2 children, ages 11 and 7, and 1 very spunky Golden Retriever mix.  She enjoys serving her Lord Jesus, singing, reading on the beach, loving on her babies, and spending time by the pool with friends. 

 

Jackie joined the staff of Mt Hebron as the Day School Director in January 2002.  In the fall of 2008 Jackie became the Director of Curriculum for the school, being relieved of some of the administrative duties so she could have more time for her family. 

 

Jackie grew up in Laurens, SC.  She graduated from Lander University in Greenwood with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree. Even as a young child she knew she would be involved in a church related vocation.  After college she attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where she earned her Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis in children’s ministries.  After serving on a church staff in Knoxville,TN, she worked for the South Carolina Baptist Convention with the Women’s Missionary Union.   She has also worked for Columbia International University as the Assistant Registrar and Kilbourne Park Baptist as Children’s minister.  

 

Jackie’s husband Mike works for Clemson University.  They have two sons, ages 9 and 6, who are both Hebron Day School alumni.
